Specialist newsletter

On our website you have the option to subscribe to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in each newsletter. If you register for our newsletter, we store and process the email address, first name and surname you provide. The specification of the email address is mandatory for the delivery of the newsletter. Your name is required to allow us to address you correctly. The data is processed based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). we will store your data until we receive your notice by which you revoke your consent, and thereupon for as long as we are legally obliged to do so.

The newsletter is distributed by MailChimp email marketing service, a marketing platform of US company Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

MailChimp is a service through which the dispatch of newsletters can be organised and analysed. Data provided to subscribe to the newsletter (e.g. email address) will be stored on MailChimp’s servers in the United States.

MailChimp is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. The Privacy Shield is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the United States to ensure compliance with European privacy standards within the United States.

With the help of MailChimp we can analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an e-mail sent by MailChimp, a file included in the e-mail (web beacon) connects to MailChimp’s servers in the United States. Doing so determines if a newsletter-related message has been opened and which links have been followed. Additionally, technical data (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system) is collected. This data cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient and is used exclusively for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. Data from the analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of the recipient.

If you do not want your data to be analysed by MailChimp then you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. A link to unsubscribe is provided in every newsletter message.

Data processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of information processed prior to revocation of consent remains unaffected.

Information submitted to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be used by us until removal, per request, from the newsletter mailing list; all subscription information will be removed from our servers as well as those of MailChimp. Information that has been stored with us for other reasons, such as e-mail addresses for the Members Portal, will remain unaffected.

For more details, please refer to MailChimp's privacy policy.

We have entered into a Data-Processing-Agreement with MailChimp, in which MailChimp commits to protecting the data of our visitors and to not sharing it with third parties.
